How long did it take them to do that? Oh, we did it on and off for a couple of months. Left it alone for a while, then I gave them a little lecture on completion and being able to point to something you've done and say "I did that!" rather than "I started that... um... it's supposed to be a diorama, I think..."
They were unconvinced. I applied gentle parental pressure, they finished it, and went off to play, apparently forgetting all about it as soon as they finished gluing the cross to the wall. ::sigh:: So much for that little moral lesson, I thought.
Rethought it when Chris came home and was greeted by "DADDY DADDY DADDY LOOK WHAT WE FINISHED WE MADE THAT WE'RE ALL DONE WE DID THE WHOLE THING DADDY DADDY DADDY!!"
