Haven't written about this before, not sure why. A local teenage girl went missing twelve days ago, her photograph plastered all over stores and public buildings, and everybody was hoping for a happy ending even though it was getting increasingly unlikely as the days went be. Well, unfortunately, she's been found: Body of missing Ottawa teen Teague found.

Is it sick that my second thought after "Oh, God," was "at least they found her?"

I can't imagine anything worse than losing your kid. Except maybe never knowing what became of her.

Every parent's worst nightmare. Literally the only nightmares I've ever had that have made me fear going back to sleep, and stayed with me for days afterwards, were those that involved serious harm to my kids. I can't imagine what that girl's parents are feeling right now.
