In fact, they're bending over backwards to ensure that no priest, minister, rabbi, imam, or Central Whirling Dervish will ever be forced to marry anybody. So why don't they get a grip already!!
Because I'm starting to think that these people are fundamentally unable to get a grip on these things: this is my exact complaint within the UCA following Assembly Resolution 84 - it acknowledges that people had come to differing points of view, held with integrity, and assures people that they will never be forced to accept a gay or lesbian minister. No one says this, but others should equally be able to say they don't want a fundamentalist bible-bashing minister...
Even so, they appear to be unable to get any of this. Wilful blindness and deafness is all very well, but it makes me scream...
