I don't even know what to say about this. "Conflicted" doesn't begin to describe it. "Appalled" and "horrified" and "angry" come a little closer, but don't quite encapsulate it.
The whole discussion, and the issues behind it, are just so god damn depressing that it's overwhelming. I love angst as well as the next person when it's all in fic that you can put down. Notsomuch when it involves real people.
I was so happy to read your comments on that in the thread... I was appalled at some of the things people said, when they didn't even know what they were talking about.
