Things that are made of squee:

  • Canada Geese! We saw the first flock flying overhead today!!!!

    WELCOME BAAAACK!!

  • Walking outside without five layers of clothing. It's 5.5°C (42°F) and we walked home with jackets open. Wheeeee!

  • Drove our new car yesterday, finally, all by mineself! It's like driving a shuttlecraft and that's disconcerting as hell because damnit, cars should have keys, not "on" buttons, but it's so shiny and clean and new! And it's the very first new car we have ever bought. We're really grownups now.

  • [livejournal.com profile] ninja_kat Jr. Words spoken as the door closed behind him last time he was here: "OK, is it me, or does that kid just get cuter every time?"

  • Our brand new Mac. I'm typing this entry using it.

  • Brand new dress, just bought the other day. First dress I've bought myself in... damn, can't remember the last time I went shopping for clothes. Couple years ago? Possibly around Christmas of 2006, when I got a gift certificate for Christmas.

  • Kids who tell me, "Mama, you look so pretty!" when I try on said dress :) :)

We haven't seen any geese here yet, in Quebec City.
That was the only flock I saw, and it was pretty small. I'm wondering if it's a flock dominated by masochists, 'cause it's still pretty cold around here.

Where are you in the country?
Ottawa.

Oh, and great name btw. Does John Varley know? *wink*
Heh, I don't think so, but I have received e-mails in the past from people who thought I was him.

Sadly, I am not :) :)

It's been the same over here, this side of the country, in Quebec. The snow geese arrived in the southern part of the province earlier this month and? Promptly turned about face and headed back down south. Unheard of appartently. Just goes to show you how cold and snowbound we've been here, this winter. Even the Maple syrup is refusing to run, and producers are saying it's going to be a disaster.

I'm sure someone, somewhere, is having spring, it just steadfastly refuses to arrive here.

Ha! Ha! I've written to the Grandmaster himself, and, well, to say the least, he's a curious man. :)
