- Canada Geese! We saw the first flock flying overhead today!!!!
WELCOME BAAAACK!! - Walking outside without five layers of clothing. It's 5.5°C (42°F) and we walked home with jackets open. Wheeeee!
- Drove our new car yesterday, finally, all by mineself! It's like driving a shuttlecraft and that's disconcerting as hell because damnit, cars should have keys, not "on" buttons, but it's so shiny and clean and new! And it's the very first new car we have ever bought. We're really grownups now.
ninja_kat Jr. Words spoken as the door closed behind him last time he was here: "OK, is it me, or does that kid just get cuter every time?"
- Our brand new Mac. I'm typing this entry using it.
- Brand new dress, just bought the other day. First dress I've bought myself in... damn, can't remember the last time I went shopping for clothes. Couple years ago? Possibly around Christmas of 2006, when I got a gift certificate for Christmas.
- Kids who tell me, "Mama, you look so pretty!" when I try on said dress :) :)

Date: 2008-04-05 02:12 pm (UTC)At this moment in time I would like to point out that I have never said Canada is not a vast frozen wasteland.
Seriously though, you know what a proud Canadian I am, and yet every single bloody winter I find myself wondering, often, what the hell my parents were thinking when they moved here. And then I remind myself about socialised medicine. And the Charter of Rights. And gay marriage. And peacekeeping missions. And being ranked near the top of Best Countries To Live In.
... and then I wonder what's so freaking special about all of that, compared to +21°C temperatures and not having to dig my car out of the snow and ice every goddamn morning :D :D :D
For example, today it was chilly here - it barely went over 21°C.
::sighing in wistful envy::

Cool! Will look that up :)

Prius! It's shiny and blue and nearly silent and cute and I think there's some environmental doodads or something but it's all eclipsed by the Pretty!Pretty! right now :D :D

Date: 2008-04-05 10:19 pm (UTC)And a Prius! I have a Camry and have always, except for my few years with a Honda, had a Toyota. Love 'em. A workmate has the Prius - it is a very cool ride ::g::

Date: 2008-04-04 01:19 pm (UTC)We haven't seen any geese here yet, in Quebec City. Where are you in the country? Oh, and great name btw. Does John Varley know? *wink*
Welcome to the Mac brigade.
Re: Flying formation
Date: 2008-04-05 02:17 pm (UTC)That was the only flock I saw, and it was pretty small. I'm wondering if it's a flock dominated by masochists, 'cause it's still pretty cold around here.
Where are you in the country?
Ottawa.

Heh, I don't think so, but I have received e-mails in the past from people who thought I was him.
Sadly, I am not :) :)

Date: 2008-04-07 01:54 pm (UTC)I'm sure someone, somewhere, is having spring, it just steadfastly refuses to arrive here.
Ha! Ha! I've written to the Grandmaster himself, and, well, to say the least, he's a curious man. :)
