please don't let us be stupid enough to vote in a Conservative majority. I'll survive it, with a large bottle of Maalox nearby, if they get in as a minority. But a majority? Just kill me now.
***Bad things have happened with our home schooling child-minding arrangement. More later. Basically right now I'm kinda screwed.
***Still no privacy.
***Have been warned that I'm going to be getting a call tonight from one of the people with the most power in the world to totally bum me out just by saying my name. No, it's nothing dramatic or exciting. Just somebody I never, ever want to talk to, for no good reason other than they bore me beyond belief.
***Have fallen behind in e-correspondence; I owe about twelve people mail.
***So here's some recs to take my mind off all the above.
- The Lighting-Struck Tower and the White Tomb. Basically, a video of two chapters of the Half-Blood Prince, using footage from the first four movies. No idea what the music is - it's not pop stuff, that much I know. Good, in a creepy way. Needless to say, major spoilers for the book.
- Numb. Really good, in a really creepy way. Draco Malfoy's feelings towards his father, set to "Numb" by Linkin Park. Near the end especially there's some morphing stuff that's just, um, gah.
- Tribute to the Fallen. Self-explanatory. ::shrug:: Nice enough, but not inspired or anything. Just clips of some of the characters who've died.
***And now back to our regularly scheduled program, plus freezing rain.
