Yesterday I finally finished typing in the notes I missed in Contracts (3 lessons) and Property (4 lessons), and organizing my notes from before and after my two weeks away. All I had left was Legislation (4 lessons) to deal with, and barring any more ups or downs or hospitalizations, I estimated I might be in shape in about a week, since I'd fallen behind on my readings between visiting my mom at the hospital and typing in all the notes.

This morning I found out that Chris ran a Norton utility (hard disk reversion) that was very vehemently not supposed to touch data. It was only supposed to revert system files to their state of a few days ago.

Guess what got deleted. All the files I had worked on. I'm almost right back to where I was when I first got out of the hospital, because I worked on the files on my Palm and on school computers, mailed myself the finished products, and downloaded them onto my hard drive. Which has no record of any of this.

I can't even think of doing this again. But I guess I'm going to have to.

OH I don't even know what to say but..

Norton is suppose to have a revert option also if you emailed is there a chance it's still in your mail on the Server? OR on the palm?
Oh this is why I so love my idisk- its a mac thing although I think XP owners can have them too. I have a virtual disk I can open on any computer with Mac OS X and XP so I can shuttle important files.

Oh yes and option 3 - make Chris type it up- boy he better feel awful about what happened or else we'll all come after him!

Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh UGH. ::growls at Norton::

Well, at least the second time through it'll go faster because you'll already have synthesized it once? And it'll be like review? That you then won't have to do at exam time?

I'm tryin', here. :P

Yeah, that's what apparently wiped them out in the first place. And Chris tried to un-revert, but couldn't. And I use yahoo - don't know how to find out what's on the server.

:) yeah, I don't know which one of us felt worse, him or me. It wasn't his fault - he kept saying, "But it says it's not supposed to affect data files!" and he tried for about an hour to get it back.
