Whyyyyy do children have to wake up so *^$% early?!

Went out on a date last night. Really should do that more often, especially if we go to a lovely Thai place in the Market where they serve noodle soup, satay chicken, curried duck with bamboo shoots and coconut milk, spicy crab and veggies, and sooo much rice.

Went to an "adult" store down the road that I must've gone past about a thousand times and never gone into because (a) I'm not interested and (b) I think I got overloaded with the concept of adult stores when we lived in London. I'd never noticed them one way or another, but I remember driving into London down Dundas for the first time and all of a sudden looking at Chris and saying, is it just me or have we just passed by like 10 sex stores in the last ten blocks?

Anyway. Fun to browse through. Although a lot of the stuff... I'm sure I wore a look of sheer puzzlement, followed by sudden understanding, followed by revulsion, about 20 times. I know Chris did. So much of that stuff seemed to require a college degree just to figure out what it was for, and when you figured it out, you wished you hadn't.

Browsing through a sex store is a bit like looking at a fine cheese table. Much of it is tempting, some of it you'll try, but a lot of it you really wonder why anybody would voluntarily want to eat it. It looks like something you'd only eat if somebody paid you. A lot.

Then to a video store, rented The Killing Fields, came home and watched it. IMDb says it's 141 min long, but they lie. It's at least 3 hours long. Went to bed at 3am. So picture my delight as my darlings wake me up this morning at 6.

Really weird watching Sam Waterston as not-Jack McCoy. He even has a different accent, kinda Massachusetts-flat (Hahvahd, stairs => staihs, etc)

See, this is what an apology should look like.
