Current Events

Suddenly realized I haven't updated in a while - too much going on. Getting ready for my surgery Thursday, reading like a madwoman (I'm finally 1 week ahead in everything - yay!) and spending family time together. Tonight it was skating on the Canal at night. Don't know how far we skated, but it was farther than we'd ever gone before. I can't feel my bum.

Also keeping up with current events like the San Francisco Gay Marriage Extravaganza. And there's been some surprising stuff coming out (heh - no pun intended) over that. No, I don't mean Bush saying he'll back a constitutional amendment making marriage het - that's about as surprising as the sun deciding to rise. But remember "Politically Incorrect" Bill Maher? I never really got him. Friends of mine told me he was "brilliant, incisive, witty, irreverent" - I dunno, every time I tuned in he just seemed to be an immature simplistic boob. It wasn't (just) that I disagreed with most of his politics - I was repelled even when he espoused views similar to mine.
