One of the most wonderful things about being a parent is that sometimes you get to revisit stuff you loved as a kid, and share it with your own kids, and watch them get the same thrill out of it that you got.
I just finished reading Jacob Two-Two to the kids. Until we started to read it to them, both Chris and I had forgotten what an amazing book it was. We both remembered reading it and loving it, but it had been a few years since the last time either of us read it.
It's so beautiful. Funny, scary, silly, touching, bizarre and just plain brilliant. Both kids were grinning from ear to ear at the end, and so was I :)
If you've never read it, go read it. It's 87 pages and full of pictures, so it probably wouldn't take an adult more than an hour, tops, to read the whole thing.
