yadda yadda
Jun. 3rd, 2005 06:33 pmIt's incredibly bizarre, sharing fandoms with my kids. I thought it was hilarious when they did days-long re-enactments of Inigo Montoya and Count Rugen's final duel, and when they would pretend to speak Elvish or leap around like Gollum. But it's been a little while since they did that, and I'd forgotten the charm of it.
Today's fandom moment: I gave them hand-size slices of pound cake, and they promptly went into a re-enactment of the scene in The Chamber of Secrets (movie) where dull-witted goons Crabbe and Goyle see cupcakes floating in the air, grab them, and stuff their faces with them, grinning stupidly at each other until the sleeping potions baked into the cupcakes kick in and they both collapse. Daniel and Justin even included the goon-music. It was hysterical.

Today's choir practice was actually a performance at a senior's home. And Daniel sang!! And Justin behaved himself!!

Chris on call. Third time in two weeks. But hey, then he's off call for about four more weeks!

Garage sale tomorrow. Looking forward to decrapifying our lives.

Rather busy weekend planned. Somewhere in there it would be nice to say hi to
ninja_kat. Sunday? Maybe?

Keep forgetting to post this, but I got my marks back, and felt the distinctly odd feeling of gratitude for my worst mark ever. Gratitude that it was a D+, rather than an F, that is.
And rather pleased surprise that, otherwise, I'm still cruising at B+. I was expecting somewhat lower marks from my winter term, but it appears that other than Constitutional Law (or Admin - one of MBPU's, anyway) I still did fairly well.
Still. Makes for an interesting transcript. I've only ever received Bs, a very occasional A, and S (satisfactory, for pass-fail courses). So it currently reads
B+ A- B+ A- B+ B+ B+ S A D+ B+ S B+ B+ B+
or,
"Babbab Sad."
"Bz?"

Today's fic quotes:
Silence didn't so much fall in the wake of this, as land in the middle of the table with an almighty splat.
and
Harry shrugged again. "Maybe I would have been better off getting a place on my own. Or staying here."
"Your room's always there for you."
"Yeah, but what kind of sad git still lives at home when he's eighteen?"
"Percy Weasley?"
"My point exactly."
