Jul. 22nd, 2005 01:06 pmThus far, this is my schedule:
Fall term
Monday 8:30-11:30 Lesbian and Gay Legal Issues (seminar) (which I didn't sign up for - I indicated it as my "alternate" choice if my first choice, Labour Law, was unavailable).
Monday 10:30-1:30 Labour Law I (lecture)
Monday 3:00-4:30 Law Review Sr. Board (meeting)
January term
Mon-Fri 8:30-11:30 Aboriginal Business Law, which I distinctly did not ask for, as I have no interest in business whatsoever. The course description on the website and the course calendar calls it "Aboriginal Law: Anti-Colonial Law, Resistance and Nation Building".
Winter term
Monday 11:30-1:00 Law Review Sr. Board (meeting)
Monday 2:00-4:00 Civil Procedure I (lecture)
Tuesday 2:00-4:00 Civil Procedure I (lecture)
So. I can either get a Time-Turner, or drop Lesbian and Gay Legal Issues, which I didn't really sign up for in the first place. I'm also going to have to figure out which Aboriginal Law class is being taught, because eurghh Business.
They're being a little glitchy over at the Registrar's this year. My first e-mail to them, after the course selections, read as follows:
Please note: I am currently a part-time student. However, my registration form from the Registrar's Office indicates that I am full-time. I am not sure how this happened, since I have not requested a change in status and still need to be part-time.
As my registration form also states that I am not a Canadian citizen (which I am) and that I entered Canada on January 1, 1900 (which I did not), I am assuming there has been some sort of technical glitch in the Registrar's computer system.
Hm. Delayed Y2K?
Later Edit: Glitches worked out. I'm now taking only one class at a time and the title of the course has been changed on the website. Yay!
