Fire At Will

(So bear wrote about her fondness for Star Trek: The Next Generation last night, prompting me to take a little trip down memory lane too.)

Re ST:TNG!love: word. I love all the others (except for Enterprise; I tried, but couldn't get past the not!Vulcans) but ST:TNG is just It for me. Almost every character thrilled me in some way. Even Annoying!Boy won a special place in my heart after the Nova Squadron hooha. I think it came with the fact that every time we ever saw him after that ep, Chris and I would MST3K his every onscreen move with references to the Nova Squadron.

Wesley: Aw, Geordie, can't I pleease re-wire the warp engines?
Chris: ... 'cause you know, however badly I screw this up, it won't be as bad as my screw-up with the Nova Squadron.

Wesley: Aw, Mo-om, can't I go spend some quality time with Ensign Ashley Judd?
Me: After all, I've only got a couple of good years in me before the Nova Squadron wrecks my life!

Ensign Ashley Judd: Your neutrinos are drifting.
Chris: ... aimlessly, much like your life will drift aimlessly after the NOVA SQUADRON!

Ah, good times.
