happy little burble
Sep. 26th, 2005 01:31 pmFeeling inordinately happy about the state of my life right now. I'm at school, in between my two classes. I've fully caught up with my readings for both. I like them both. Daniel is at a friend's house for the day, which makes him very happy. Justin is at school in the morning and at his favourite babysitter's for the afternoon, which makes him even happier. I've got plenty of stuff for Daniel to do this week, most of which he seems pretty enthusiastic about. I'm glad to have the day away, but look forward to the rest of the week at home too. They boys are also enthused about all their extracurriculars - Beavers, Cubs, swimming, and ballet. I'm enthused about my own extracurricular, choir. The house is not a filthy mess. We seem to have enough time to do things properly and even relax once in a while. Everything just seems to be ticking along very well.
It's making me a little nervous, actually.
On the not-so-good front,
ninja_kat's baby has still not made its appearance (three days overdue, now) which really, really sucks because she's in a wheelchair and housebound. And Justin's not making it easy to go visit her right now. Chris is also a bit of a stress-pimple as he struggles with his job and presentations and exam review. The boys' room is still not painted, and we have rather more useless stuff lying around than I would like in our home. And we appear to have almost no social life whatsoever outside of our family. Haven't seen anybody but Anne in weeks, and probably won't for many more weeks, since Chris is too busy to socialize and I don't really want to do it on my own.
I also have to pay my tuition and do a lot of other relatively dumb stuff. Like get our computers fixed.
But. For right now, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, and all is relatively well in our small corner of the world.
Ooops - edit that above to: the rain is pouring down, it's grey and ugly out there, the birds are cowering, but all is still relatively well in our small corner of the world, even though I apparently have no idea what the rest of the world looks like outside my window.
