How I neglected to say this, I don't know, but on Wednesday when we went to Justin's Meet The Teacher Night... ::sigh:: I was so proud of him. He showed me his cubby and the different play and work stations around the classroom, then very proudly showed me the French board and named every single one of the colours and numbers on the board. And sang two little French songs.

My boy :)

His teacher, a wonderful lady who's the same teacher Daniel had in SK, remarked that he's very enthusiastic and very easy to teach. "A big difference from-" she nodded towards Daniel, being tactful even though Daniel as per usual was in his own little world.

"You don't say," I replied. What a shock.

"How's he doing at home?" she asked about Daniel.

"He's doing great - getting a lot done, seems pretty happy."

And she was very happy for him, and wished us all the best. And we chatted for a little bit about how odd it is, that two brothers can be so incredibly different. Justin is not the best-behaved kid at home. Put him in school, and he flourishes. Daniel is nothing but trouble at school. Leave him home, and he just glows.

Anyway. Break time's over. Going to help Daniel finish his French goal for the week, then dinner, then bed.

Edit: [livejournal.com profile] sugarkane_59!! Got your card! Thanks! The kids were thrilled - they remembered your visit as the second time in a very short while that somebody Mama knew from the Internets came to our home and was three-dimensional ;)

And you're very welcome about the box, BTW. Glad it helped - and I hope your machine is functional :)

And say hi to [livejournal.com profile] medee6040 for us all. Lj is just not the same without her presence.
