Ritual sacrifice with pie

I must say, nice as it is to have people over at our house for Thanksgiving, it's certainly a lot more relaxed when we decide to do it just for us. Because this morning I woke up and thought, "Oh god. We have to get dinner ready. We have to somehow make a turkey, and stuffing, and gravy, and cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes, and sweet potatoes, and pies, and turkey, and gravy, and mashed potatoes... hey... wait a minute... that's all we have to do. We don't have to have it all ready by the time the guests arrive. We don't have to childproof for other people's children. We don't have to have the house relatively clean and tidy. Wow. ::sigh of relief:: Happy Thanksgiving to us!"
And the nice thing is, all that food won't go to waste with just the four of us eating it, because we're going to take huge chunks of it to Guy and to
