People Are Idiots, Part 2,765,834

Went to CML office today. Didn't get into the DOJ internship, which had a posted application deadline of August 24 before it suddenly became August 1. Boo. However, the trip was not a complete waste. Far from it. I discovered that my course selections, which I did online and for which I got a confirmation e-mail, were missing. The courses I signed up for? Gone. Not registered, not listed, not nowhere, nohow. And of course the courses I'd wanted to take were all full now - I mean, if you're going to leave course selection until the middle of August, what do you expect? Except that I hadn't left it to the last minute!

ARG!!!

This does explain why U of O was being so lackadaisical about my tuition $.

Anyway. Extremely sweet and helpful ladies at the registrar's office went to bat for me, waved a dead chicken at the computer, turned me into a grad student or something, and got me in where I wanted to be. Thank Christ.
