A day of mostly clouds with some silver linings :)

• Had five children, on my own, for about three hours or so today. My three two (oops! thanks, cabenson!) and Winnie's three girls, ages 8, 6 and 3. Am freaking exhausted. Ironically, my exhaustion has absolutely nothing to do with Winnie's kids, who were model guests. Sadly, my own little hooligans were being little beasts to each other all morning, Daniel was completely clued out and finally had to be threatened with grievious bodily harm (well, OK - more like extra work) just to get him to do his lessons. They had to be separated during the girls' visit. They're being really really well-behaved now, though ::eye-roll::
  
  Tomorrow will be a better day.
  These days are awful because they're unexpected.
  Normally my children are a lot of fun.
  Normally my children get along extremely well.
  I hardly ever feel like killing them.
  I will repeat the above sentences until they make me feel better.
  
  
• Had a very nice visit with Winnie when she came to pick up the girls.
  
  
• Made a no-wheat pie as an experiment. I (and Winnie) declared it a success :)
  
  
• Butternut squash = extreme goodness on a day that also includes pie.
  
  
• Going to choir tonight. ::bounce::
  
  
• Would really like to have stuff done for the Suzuki project... what I have right now are a bunch of dead ends in my research. Which I know is useful, as at least I know where not to look, but it's not terribly satisfying.
  
  
• Am thinking of not giving permission to people who want to translate my fics. Will need more thinking re. this.
