general stuff
Dec. 13th, 2007 01:26 am- My choir rocks. Our last concert didn't, so much, although Chris says my choir did great. We weren't the only show on, though. And some of the others? Um. Well. They had a lot of. Heart.
It's weird to not have a big Christmas concert this year. We did a few songs on Sunday, ended up billed for a concert we didn't know we'd agreed to be part of next Sunday (apparent screw-up between a church's Planning and Advertising factions - the Advertisers made up and distributed the programs listing us as guest performers before the Planners had asked us to guest, or even told us there was going to be a concert), and that's it for the year.
On the plus side, we do get to sing the Hallelujah chorus next Sunday, so that's always a treat :)
Then there's nothing till January, when we do a Robbie Burns thing, and then February, Black History Month. Should be fun. I'm still somewhat nervous about the soprano section; today there were only four of us firsts, and for a while it looked like next Sunday's soprano lineup was going to be, um, me. - Chris got his credit line doubled at the bank within twenty-four hours. He pressed a couple buttons, and Presto Voila, there it was, doubled.
Because hey, it's not like he's ordering something important, like, say, a power source for a four year old computer from Dell, which practically requires me to send in dental records from my firstborn child, and which might conceivably make it into my hands sometime next March. - In completely unrelated news, I'm still using the kids' computer, because my computer is still out, and I probably won't have it back till sometime next March.
