Clearing the noxious fumes a wee bit
Feb. 26th, 2008 04:07 pmIt's been an interesting few days. Last night I went to bed fairly late, but actually didn't brood and fume again, ended up going to sleep peacefully, and woke up today in a somewhat better frame of mind than what I'd had the last few days. Did stuff with the kids, did stuff in the house, and went to Cosmic Adventures for the home schooling drop-in. Feeling much better.
So after the anger and hurt and wtfness of the last few days, I'm trying to accentuate the positive. Here's stuff that made me/us happy in the last few days.

ninja_kat Jr. becomes more adorable every time we see him. He's now speaking complete sentences ("Jussin come play ball wi me?") and laughing his belly laugh and I got a hug!
- Chris :)
- Cosmic Adventures, despite their skyrocketing prices
- Our green belts!
- Cubs: Daniel is working at a soup kitchen tonight
- The Prydain Chronicles. Daniel has raced through The Book of Three, The Black Cauldron, and The Castle of Llyr, and is plowing through Taran Wanderer. My kid. Reading these books, which I adored as a child. And falling in love with them too :) :)
- Choir. Went to a workshop on Sunday with Mark Sirrett, who is not only one of the best choral composers ever (and possibly the best Canadian choral composer) but also charming and interesting and funny as hell. He directed me for a few months when I was in the Kingston Choral Society and our regular director was absent for a few months. I'll never forget him reminding us that in The Messiah, the line should be sung "All we like sheep," NOT "All we like sheep." ::eyebrow wiggle::
- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
- A reviewer who said they loved one of my stories even though they skipped past all the sex scenes :)
- My flist :)
