Blurb:
Welcome to the National Do Not Call List (DNCL). You will be able to register your number(s) online starting on September 30, 2008. For more information, please see the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission National DNCL fact sheet.
If you are a telemarketer requiring a subscription to the National DNCL, please note that this service will be available on September 30, 2008. For more information on the new Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules, please refer to the CRTC fact sheet about the National DNCL or Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-48.
Thank you for your interest, and please check back with us in September.
=======================
Basically, you can stop telemarketers from ever calling you. EVER. Unless they are a political party, registered charity, polling entity, or business with which you have interacted in the last 18 months. And even they may be barred if you sign up on another list, though that part wasn't terribly clear to me.
