In the news

• Heard back from many of my friends and relatives in Chile, which is quite a relief. There is one aunt who hasn't responded, but since we heard that her kids are OK, I'm assuming they would have let us know if she isn't. I'll try to contact her again in a few days.
  
  
• Going on a date, sort of. Except it's not mine or Chris'. We're chaperones.
  
  
• Have decided early spring in Ottawa is like the Ugly Duckling of seasons. Ugly, ugly, ugly, but with a lot of promise :) :)

• I'm almost done going through the living room and getting rid of crap/miscellanea/books we don't read any more. Put saran wrap on our bottom bookshelves, in the fond hope that if our cat decides to spray on them again, it'll all bounce back and she'll end up with a wet bum.
  
  
• Stayed up until 3AM last night, at least in part because I was finishing a romance novel. Colour me boggled ;)
