...but I did successfully complete weeks (I think) 4 and 5. The week of Chris's staycation, where he drove me in for half it it, didn't really count.
Can't really come to any conclusions yet about the experience. I have not dropped a single pound or inch, but it's definitely a wonderful way to start the day: a lovely gentle downslope, through woods and fields and the Canal, arriving nicely energized to work.
Not quite such a wonderful way to end the day, as the gentle slope doesn't feel so freaking gentle going up, but hey, I'd rather have that than arrive at work exhausted every morning and then coast home. Besides, there's a nice little bench with my name on it by Dow's Lake where I often sit and read for about five minutes before girding my bike helmet and starting up the final hills.
Two more weeks to go. I'll miss it when it's over.
