sugarkane_59 two days ago, haven't been on lj long enough to even say hi since.
So neat, but strange, meeting someone from lj. Putting a face and voice to the words. I'd love to do it again, though. [L - I do hope you take up my open invitation whenever the parents are shopping in town :)]
And it was neat to be able to discuss L&O and fanfic in real-time too, even though we didn't do that a lot. Got some of the nicest comments ever on Pretty Picture, and decided to go back and track down a bunch of stories that I hadn't read - whenever I get some time on the bloody machine, that is. I realized I really haven't read much fanfic in... oh... months, actually. Also: found out we had something in common wrt one author (no, not on lj).
sugarkane_59, I went back and read, and um, yeah. So very true. I think I'd deliberately forgotten ;)
So. Off to bed. I've heard wonderful things about sleep, and I'd like to see if they're true.

Date: 2004-11-14 07:19 am (UTC)My LJ time has also been limited. It was much fun meeting you as well - not to mention your very cool family! It *is* neat to put faces and voices to the people I read about on a regular basis.
But I don't think I articulated my comments on "Pretty Picture" very well. (I usually don't articulate well, period.) What I meant to say was - I couldn't see Rey engaging in that kind of behaviour given his staid morality, BUT given the amount of stress he was under, I *could* see it. You worked that in very well. I also loved the underlying theme of "it might not be a pretty picture." Most excellent.
And yeah, that author... ::cringes::
I'll definitely take you up on that offer when the 'rents are in Ottawa doing Christmas shopping. (Should be sometime in early December.) I'm so thrilled - after 24 years, I can finally say that I have friends in Ottawa!

Thanks!

Yeah, I muttered one or two eeeww's while reading too. I shouldn't say 'reading' - I mostly just skimmed enough to refresh my memory. Then skittered off to read my Environmental Law text, so wipe it clean again ;)
