I believe in, and I will fight for, a future in which generations of Canadians to come, Canadians born here and abroad, Yeah, I liked that too - especially as a Canadian born abroad :)
I really liked how he kept hammering home the point that this is about minority rights. Because just about all of us are part of one minority or another, and the right has been quite sickening in its attempt to get minorities on their side, pointing out that (eg) traditional Muslim/Sikh/Eastern Orthodox teachings are mostly anti-gay. I read in an article somewhere that this had actually backfired in one instance, and ended up pissing off a community of Sikhs who did not appreciate the implication that because they were 'foreign darkies' they would automatically flock to the anti-gay cause.
