- Was going to update about my Globalization class this morning, because it was really, really cool. Everybody was going in one direction, and getting more and more wingy, and then at the very height of winginess, two of my classmates took a stand in the exact opposite direction, and did it well and with conviction. Go them :)
- Was going to close my eyes, point to my list of fave fanfic authors, and pick three to go fangirly on.
- Was going to play the CN Tower Architect skit from The Frantics, make a transcript, and post it.
- In RL, I was going to do some laundry and dig us out from the filth that's piled up in the last couple of days.
I did none of the above.
Instead I washed dishes, warmed up dinner, and listened to Chris tell the kids about dendrites. And tried to explain parts of Connie Willis' book, Passage, to them.
Teasers for tomorrow, when I hope the above will be accomplished:
- The topic was, "Is the ex post facto characterization of the invasion of Iraq as a humanitarian venture justified in light of the human rights abuses (Iraqi and American) that have come to light since the US went in?"
woffproff writes some of the best Lennie lines evah, and her Lennie/Mike (friendship, get your minds out of the gutter) is some of the best out there; I still go back and read
snarkhunter's L&O Fic-mas for the poultry and for the lines "Aren't you Jewish?" and "Hear hear!!"; and only
bast2 could have made me really, truly, care about Serena. And I still think she needs to put together all her drabbles in the Serena/Rodgers/Lennie arc. It's one of my main motivations for wanting to put together a
thursday100plus archive.
- "You know, a shlong so big even Rochester could get off on it?" and "Sperm! Sperm!!!"
- We have enough laundry to last us to the end of the week if we wear unmatched pajamas and dress socks to school/work. Why worry?
