Here's one of the songs we did for our Rememberance Day concert. It was written by one of our former choir members, and had never been performed before.
De Profundis, by Chris Askwith.
Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, o Lord.
Lord, hear my voice
Let thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications.
If thou, Lord, shall observe iniquities,
O Lord, who may abide it?
For with thee there is merciful forgiveness
And by reason of thy law
Have I supported thee, o Lord.
I look to the Lord
My soul doth wait for him.
and in his word is my I hope.
From the morning watch
Even unto night
Let Israel trust in the Lord:
For with the Lord there is mercy,
and with him plenteous redemption.
And he shall redeem Israel
from all their iniquities.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son
And to the Holy Ghost,
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
World without end,
Amen.
