Casting Alan Rickman as the voice was a stroke of pure genius. Wasn't it? I nearly died. And having been subjected (in a positive way) to his voice as Professor Snape ad nauseum in the last several months (my kids being even bigger Harry Potter fans than me) it was just priceless, hearing him put a whiny, depressed tinge in his sarcasm. Sharp contrast from the steady diet of snide sarcasm I'm used to. And my kids loved it too :)
