Trip was exhausting, loopy from sleep deprivation and jet lag, my home smells of cat litter, finally got all the sand out of my TMI, gained five pounds, wow the internets have been busy in my absence.

Hee hee hee. Your family generates the best quotes. I remember a similar line in a Peter David book... Picard yells "Fire at will," and the next line describes Will Riker grasping the arms of his chair "awaiting the coming onslaught". (Or similar.)
