Freakin' cold

I'm freezing. We must still have the heat on low from the holidays or something. It's kind of weird; all day I've been thinking about how overly warm it is outside. Beginning of January, and there's grass visible outside and above-zero temperatures. WTF?

Started my Aboriginal Law class today, then came home and took a looong nap. Got up, puttered about dealing with suitcases & other travel-related stuff, then went to pick up my textbooks. Tomorrow we've got a speaker, a Cree Elder coming in to talk to us. Should be interesting. Then back to puttering, catching up on e-mails, etc etc.

Oh, mustn't forget a conversation we had today:
Justin: This was a present from my first girlfriend that I had.
Me: ::struggling not to laugh:: Oh yeah? Who was that?
Justin: Um... ::thinking hard:: Allie. Not Halle. Allie. Then Emma was my girlfriend.

OK, kid. Can't keep track of your various girlfriends at the tender age of six. I sense a tumultuous adolescence in our future.

You probably don't know me, but since I've started stalking clearbell and bast, I've seen you on their flist... And your entries are hilarious! I'm a Canuck too, and can relate to the unseasonably warm temps-I just added an entry today to that affect. I'm a big fan of SVU and fanfic, which I write on occasion, even though it is average at best, haha! I was going to add you to my flist, but thought I would let you know first, because I wouldn't want to freak you out too much. Feel free to delete if you're not interested. Thanks!

Heh - it's scanned from a postcard I bought when my older son was a year old. We glued it to one of our kitchen cupboards and would look at it for inspiration on really tough days :)

Isn't it bizarre? It's starting to creep me out, actually. The Canal is still closed and I can't imagine they'll be able to open it for Winterlude.
