Snips and snails

Daniel is quite used to being assumed to be a girl, what with being fairly small, delicate-looking, and long-haired. Doesn't bother him; people say "What does your daughter want" or "What a nice little girl" and Daniel just automatically says, "I'm a boy."

We're out at Canadian Tire, we go get some hot dogs & hamburgers at the stand, and the guy asks Daniel what he'd like. Daniel dithers, orders, then changes his mind, and the hot dog dude winks and jokes, "Ah, just like a woman."

"Girl," says Daniel automatically. "I mean - no, boy! I'm a boy!"
