It is very cloudy here, so no moon. We watched it on a web cam, but it's just not the same. My 8 year old was actually in tears because of the clouds, and I felt bad about building it up and teaching about it today. I have to remember to check the weather first next time.

We just watched some of it too. At first it seemed that the clouds were going to obscure it... Zack said "That's ok, at least we got so see mommy's simulationl". Fortunately the clouds parted enough that we got to see a little of it. Evie caught on to our excitement and kept saying "Oh my gosh! Ohy my gosh!"

We only got to watch a bit of it, and DS none at all (too late here!), but I was surprised that the right edge was still pretty bright even towards what I thought was supposed to be the end. Though I think I read the info wrong yesterday. And we forgot to look until it was already well under way. But still very cool!

yay! we had the telescope out. There were so many people congregated in the streets to watch it, some came over and looked through the scope, it was just really cool. :)

Yeah we hadn't built it up much, mostly because I had no idea it was happening until I heard it on the radio Wednesday. Although I had noticed that they were playing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" curiously frequently ;)

Yeah, we only watched till the moon was fully shadowed, and didn't watch it unshadow. The right edge was still bright-ish, though not shining any more.

Oh, neat! A few of our neighbours were out too, but only on their own doorsteps and going in and out the whole time. It was too bloody cold to socialize.

I know, I get the big fail in mothering for that day. They got over it because we found an adult kitty to adopt, so now they are focused on getting the house "kitty ready".

Heh, I used to listen to that song on constant repeat when I was a kid.
