Can I just say - brrr! Y'all say Canada's not a vast frozen wasteland, At this moment in time I would like to point out that I have never said Canada is not a vast frozen wasteland.
Seriously though, you know what a proud Canadian I am, and yet every single bloody winter I find myself wondering, often, what the hell my parents were thinking when they moved here. And then I remind myself about socialised medicine. And the Charter of Rights. And gay marriage. And peacekeeping missions. And being ranked near the top of Best Countries To Live In.
... and then I wonder what's so freaking special about all of that, compared to +21°C temperatures and not having to dig my car out of the snow and ice every goddamn morning :D :D :D
For example, today it was chilly here - it barely went over 21°C. ::sighing in wistful envy::
