...I think the kids may have fallen asleep without me. They were pretty tired, and I sent them upstairs to get ready for bed about fifteen minutes ago, and haven't heard a peep since.
They did! It was so cool! Justin actually fell asleep fully dressed, with his glasses still on.
I realize it's kind of mean of me, but one of the things about having incredibly high-energy kids who spent their first five years utterly exhausting me on a daily basis is that every time I wipe them out, I laugh my ass off about it for days :D :D :D
Chris was at his gaming con all day Sunday, so I'd had them working for most of the day, for pay, so that I could study. They'd cleaned their rooms, did laundry, tidied the downstairs, etc etc. At the end of the day I suggested we watch The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (since we were going to see Prince Caspian the next day) and they were so tired that, right before the final battle scene, they said, "It's time for bed. Let's finish watching tomorrow."
They wandered off, I waited for them to let me know they were ready so I could come read to them and tuck them in... and waited... and waited...
