So did you not get to meet Dennis then? Or just not on that part of the trip? Oh we did, in Vancouver. We were there about three days before heading for the trail. Dennis stayed in Vancouver with a caregiver; he's fairly little, and autistic - though he makes eye contact and communicates sometimes, and has a really cute grin :) - and it really wouldn't have been fun for him.
