ciroccojGot woken up at 7:00am by a public works dude telling me to move my car across the street, since I won't be able to get out of my driveway otherwise because they're tearing up the street in front of my home.
I spent most of the summer with big bloody holes all over our street, because the city was doing work on the pipes. They covered up the holes (badly) and then came back and redid the whole thing. Why, I don't know, because they knew they were going to tear the whole thing up again in a couple of months. They've torn up most of our side of the street to put in... (wait for it) a curb. Why, I don't know. Nobody wants a curb. Nobody needs a curb. We certainly don't need our street torn up yet again in order to get a curb. And as far as I can tell, nobody was asked about a curb.

Kid quote to start off my day: we put up decorations and I told the kids not to disturb the skulls in front of the pumpkins.
Justin says, "I'm really sorry, Mama, but I have to tell you something. Consie (his pumpkin) moved the skulls around."
"With Justin's help," adds Daniel helpfully.
