Quittin' time

ciroccojWatching Night at the Museum tonight and at one point Chris leans over and says, "Jedediah Smith... he's got a Brokeback Cowboy thing going with Octavius, ya think?"
Haha. We continue watching, and overall the movie's a lot funnier than I remember it being in the theatre when we first saw it. And then at one point, the Romans and Cowboys are helping disable the bad guys' car, and all the other little men are being blown into the wind, and they're the last two left holding firm, and Jedediah yells to Octavius, "Ah won't quit yoooo!!"
The kids didn't get it.
Ben Stiller is kind of meh for me, but Ricky Gervais the Inarticulate Curator is adorable. And Jedediah and Octavius are my favourite characters, Brokeback aside. They're just so damn cute (for those who haven't seen the movie, they're little diaroma figurines who start fighting each other at night, when the museum comes alive). And their sheepish little-boy head-ducking when the security guard chews them out is adorable.
Guard: Now, if you guys can behave yourselves, I can let you run around on your own.
Octavius and Jed: Really?!
Guard: Yeah. But you gotta promise to behave. Not like the Mayans. See the Mayans, over there? They wouldn't behave, so they had to be locked up. Do you want to be locked up like the Mayans? Do the Mayans look happy to you?
Octavius: N-no...
Jed: They look sad.
The little things in life amuse me ;)
