Final Fabricland shopping expedition with Justin. I got what I wanted first, then let him just wander and touch all the pretty cloths. We still had to leave eventually, because he got out of control, but at least it wasn't that bad. 'Unruly', as opposed to 'maniacal'. He just gets overwhelmed by all the sensory input, and can't keep himself together. Many adults are like that at dance bars ;)

And as we were leaving, he yelled happily, "I LOVE Fabricland!! I wish we could LIVE here - ALL the TIME!!" to the great amusement of the 20 or so women in line at the cash (there was a huge notions sale). As the doors closed behind that, I heard one of them exclaiming, "You know, I say that all the time too!"

Picked Daniel up at the bus, and I asked him how his day was. "It was GREAT!" he enthused. "And you know what turned it from a good day to a GREAT day? I got to help Madame Agathe!"

"Really? What did you do?"

"I told the class a story she told me! She told me that the noise gave her a headache, so I went into the classroom and told everybody else, and everybody was very quiet, and then you know what happened? I got to be the leader for Show and Tell!! I DID!!! It was WAY cool!"

***

And now it's my turn to burble: "I went to CHOIR! It was GREAT!! We're a little disorganized but the music is BEAUTIFUL! It was WAY COOL!"

And now, because it was on Chris' mind after the NRA list thing, we're going to watch Bowling For Columbine on one VCR while L&O tapes on the other. Did I mention we got a free DVD/VCR when we got the cell phone? It sucks, but I never look gift electronics in the mouth. How's that for a mixed metaphor?
