... we appear to have weathered the storm/stress-pimple that has been Daniel's application for the IB program for grade 9.

Oy vey.

Also, I am going to ache tomorrow. Jumping back in to TKD by doing the 1:30 hour Wednesday night class, taught by a normally rather sadistic black belt? Yeah, not such a good idea. Even if he is a hell of a teacher, and was taking it easy on us tonight. This is going to hurt like a &%$# tomorrow.

Oy vey and OW.

I KNOW!

Yeah. Grade nine. Peach fuzz growing darker on upper lip, voice lowering by the day, getting ready for the future, grade nine.

Yeah, that doesn't surprise me. I didn't have the option of IB when I was in high school, but Chris did, and opted out. Too much extra work, too much stress.

Daniel is very interested in it, in part because he's often bored silly at school. We'd like him to be able to do it if he wants to, but have told him that it's absolutely not necessary as a step on the road to future happiness or success.
