Granted, it doesn't seem to be affecting him too badly, other than the headaches. He doesn't much like school, but doesn't loathe it or fear it or anything. I think (hope!) he's had enough positive reinforcement from us, and from his home school friends, that he's anything but stupid, ugly, etc. that it's more like profound unpleasantness and annoyance than trauma.
Still. He shouldn't have to put up with it. And happy as his teachers say he is, at least part of him seems to be stressing over it and it's coming out as blinding headaches.
...I could be wrong. For all we know, the headaches may have to do with him eating more bread since he's got sandwich lunches a lot. I'd rather err on the side of caution, thanks.
