It feels like in some ways it might actually be easier if they were attacking physically. We could then point at a specific instance of, you know, breaking the law, state our concern for his physical safety, and know that there's no question that a case like this must be dealt with seriously, by removing one or more children from the situation.
As it is... there's a lot of second-guessing, at least from my end. He's not in physical danger. You can't point to emotional hurts, other than his headaches, which really could have nothing to do with it. But unfortunately, emotional wounds can sometimes be a lot more painful, and leave more lasting scars.
Basically this is me saying, Thanks for the support :) It helps to know that other people would come to the same conclusion.
