...both the songs will suck, but I love her anyway

- Ugh, it's going to be an ugly day. I woke up at 4 and was unable to go back to sleep until 7:15, which was unfortunate, as I had to be up by 7:30. Am feeling like I'm wrapped in slightly-too-warm cotton, and odd noises distract me. And I've been told that today I am to do research, no court.
I get one day a week to feel like a childfree grown-up; I'd like to enjoy it, thanks, and not spend it dragging myself through the day. Ordinarily I love research, but it's hard when you're so sleepy that words blur and nothing ties together.
::sigh::
Maybe next week. OK, plod on. - Am looking forward to being back at work full-time in a few weeks. I love being at home, and it's been good to reconnect with the kids and have Justin not done in by migraines twice a week, but I also miss dressing like a grown-up and I miss all the "oh wow, holy cool law fact!" moments. One day a week is not enough.
- Went to a black belt test last Saturday, as Daniel was helping his friend, who was testing, and Justin and I wanted to observe. I'm glad we did. The next black belt test will be held this November, and we're on the list. ::gulp:: It all looked fairly doable, though. Two hours of pattern, sparring, self-defence, board-breaking, and oral examination. Not so different from the colour belt tests, except that for black belts this is only one of three tests they have to take. The other two being a physical endurance and a written exam. Plus there's an essay you have to write.
Oh well. Bring it on :) - Daniel's school held their band concert last Thursday. Whole Famn Damily went. Which was great, because Justin is going to be at that school next year, and he has not been looking forward to it, considering how his current school year went. Apparently, something about the school and the principal and the band got him enthused, because now he's almost looking forward to it - or at least ready to go into it with a positive attitude :) :) :)
- The fourteen cups of coffee I've consumed are beginning to hit me, but it doesn't help that I've been on hold for Canada Immigration listening to very very soft, soporific music for fifteen minutes. ::jaw-cracking yawn::
