OK, here's a short exchange from a rather amusing discussion on homosexuality (posted, inexplicably, to a Law & Order discussion site):

I cant STAND people who cant punctuate and RANDOMLY capitilize words
in sentences that run on and on with never a period between them OK
here it is I won't let KIDS I know who are being DEVOURED by bad
sentence structure which I am sure we will all agree is destroying
society read things like this unless someone will add punctuation so
it will make sense. So I offer a virtual PRIZE to anyone who can
punctuate what r.babb wrote above what you'll get is the satisfaction
of having done the impossible.

Why is it that people who hold these opinions - and feel compelled to share them with the world, for some reason - usually can't get a grip on such basic things as punctuation and spelling? Are they really just that stupid?

Yeah, it's been sort of reassuring in a way. Like, if this is the future of ardent homophobia, we've got nothing to worry about because eventually they'll all be Darwin Award winners.

Well you need to counter-act this. Let you kids watch more sex in the
city or other similar tv shows. You might also introduce them to the
numerous porn sites. Although you might have to filter some of these
out because they show a lot of lesbian action.
