Valentines shmalentines
Feb. 15th, 2004 02:23 pmBusy weekend, too much going on. But all of it good, for a change!
Todd & Susan & Turtle & Zany came to visit. Yay!
Finally printed out a cover for Promises.
Finally used the Punch real!model thingy to build myself a little tiny house.
bear found yet another web-abomination, at Halrloprillalar's Valentine's Drabble-o-Matic. I typed in the least squicky unbelievable L&O couple I could (Rey and Abbie), filled in the drabble form, and it gave me this: Silly Love
Rey finished packing. Ever since Abbie, his own true love, had been lost at sea, Rey had been seductive.
There was nothing left for him anymore, nothing kissed him, all was sanctimonious. So today, Valentine's Day, he was going in a pickle to become a secret tomato.
Just then, there was a sibilant knock at the door. Rey opened it and stood there slowly for a moment, before falling to the floor in a swoon and bruising his arm.
When Rey came to, Abbie was holding his knee and looking smouldering. "My love," Abbie said quickly, "I'm sorry for the sweet shock. I've been shipwrecked on a sweaty island for the last ten years, living like the glorious vistas that astound the eye and excite the heart. I was only rescued last week." She paused. "I lost my neck in the wreck. Can you still love me?"
Rey could hardly believe his Abbie had returned. "I will always love you, neck or no neck. Besides, you can cover it up with a t-shirt."
They embraced jealously and vowed to never be parted again.
And all was shabby.
