yeah, yeah, enough already
Feb. 25th, 2004 05:38 pmThat's sort of my attitude right about now re. Karma Gods.
Went to Daniel's school to deliver pizza. Little kid, big thrill :) The day was lovely and I walked there and back. Last lovely thing to happen today.
Lunch at my mom's - she's in pain and nauseated, which put her in a great mood. She was doing her best, but was rather irritable. I got there and was immediately put to work making a salad, which is hardly taxing and which normally I would have been happy to make, but by that point in the day I was already dead tired.
Did the happy-visiting thing with her despite her mood (and mine), then went to Legislation. Where I discovered I'd forgotten to bring in my Palm keyboard, and had no pens or paper. Had to borrow lo-tech implements.
Got home, checked our messages to see if there was one from the hospital re. my surgery time. No, there wasn't but there was one from Chris' stepmother, whose mother is in the hospital here at the General, and who would like Chris to visit her as she's in a strange place and a friendly face will be good to see. She'll call later tonight, for info and support.
Then another message from our marriage counsellor saying she's been called by the lawyers for the lawsuit, and could we call her back re. how to proceed from here.
Would like to go to bed now. Instead I'm going to do laundry and hopefully spend some nice time with my family. And probably turn the ringer off for tonight at least.
