Magic Tree House books have a simple concept: two little kids stumble on a treehouse filled with books, then find that whenever they open a book, point to a page, and say, "I wish I could go there" - there they are!
We've read three so far: Dinosaurs Before Dark, The Knight at Dawn, and Mummies in the Morning. Today we started the fourth: Pirates Past Noon. So I'm reading about how the kids open a book without looking at the cover, see a picture of a tropical beach and say "I wish I could go there", because it's raining in their town, and then they see a ship in the water, and then they see that the ship has a black flag with a skull and crossbones, and then they think to look at the cover of their book and find that they're inside a book called (wait for it)....
Pirates of the Caribean.
