Curve ball
Mar. 17th, 2004 04:25 pmI can't quite believe the year is almost over. April 8 is our last day of class, then exams start a few days later. I've got Contracts April 15, Property the 27, and Legislation the 29. Wonder if I'll end up writing them all on time. I thought I might, because I'm caught up on my readings and was catching up on my notes, but...
See, I was going to spend part of today typing in the notes I got from classmates for the two weeks of Contracts and Property that I missed. But I got a call from Guy yesterday telling me that my mother was hospitalized, so I decided to spend part of today with her instead. And I'm going back tomorrow, and probably for a few hours a day until she gets out. Guy estimates it might be a couple of weeks.
She's not in great shape. She can't keep down food, so she's being fed through an NG tube, and being given her meds by IV or NG. She's on heavy pain meds and they seem to be helping to a certain extent, but she's still not terribly happy with the situation.
Don't think I'll be going to choir tonight. I'll talk it over with Chris, but I think maybe I should sit out the rest of the year there. Something's got to go, and I'd rather give up choir than my time with my mom or the boys or Chris or school.
Speaking of all the above, I gotta run pick up Justin and take us both home. Dinner tonight is WW chicken kebabs on couscous. At least we're eating well :)
Oh - and re. tomorrow's
thursday100plus challenge, I will try to get it up tomorrow but I may not have access to a computer for most of the day. Friday by the latest.
