1. Generally speaking, are you a participant or an observer? Why?
Uh... my immediate reaction is to say 'observer, because I'm very shy'. But I've spent so much of my adult life combatting shyness that I think I've become a participant. Except when I'm really not that interested in whatever's going on, or when it's really a stage-fright-worthy situation (singing solo, running for office, etc).

2. What went through your mind the first time you saw your husband?
I think it was "I didn't know there would be somebody else here". I was finishing my volunteer training at a crisis center by doing an observational shift. I thought there would only be one volunteer on, Pete, whom I'd met. But Chris was there too, manning the phones.

He made very little impression on me, other than that he seemed fairly competent. In fact, for the longest time, I thought his name was Steve. And I made absolutely no impression on him. He has no memory whatsoever of our first meeting.

Rather ignominuous beginning ;)

3. What was the last lie you told?
Oooh, good one.

I honestly don't remember, and I've been racking my brain. Odds are, it was something to do with the kids - there's about a million things we fudge as part of daily life. 'Where's your really loud drum? I don't know.' 'After you go to sleep I do laundry.' 'No, I don't know what those two dogs are doing.'

Oh! I remember now!!

Marta called and asked if my mom would need her to go clean on Monday. I said I would talk to her and ask, but to assume yes. My mom called today and asked if I could call Marta and ask her to come on Monday. I said sure, I'll do that.

I have no idea why I didn't just say, "Oh, don't worry, I told her to assume she'd be needed on Monday." Possibly I thought my mother would resent me trying to control her life. Dunno. I have a mostly good, but sometimes dysfunctional, relationship with my mom.

1) Your fans, indeed, the entire continent, wants to know - how on earth do you do it? You've got school, two small boys, a husband with a very demanding career, not to mention choir and writing - yet you always keep your sense of humor and you're there for your friends. How do you do it?

2) What area of law do you intend to practice when you graduate, and why?

3) If you could run away for a no-tell weekend with one LO cast member *other* than Rey, who would it be?
