May. 10th, 2004 06:41 pmOutside days? Are all well and good, but Chris may shoot me if I have another one like today. We walked to my mom's place, which takes me 25 min, but we stopped frequently because of Justin's shorter legs and the slight drizzle that kept starting and stopping all day. And somehow, we ended up coming home with a backpack full of books. From the used bookstore and library on the road to my mom's, and from my mom's basement.
Chris cries when I bring home new books. We have 6 huge bookshelves full of books, and about 10 boxes of books that have nowhere else to go. So maybe I'll just keep today's bookish acquisitions to myself :)
From the bookstore I picked up another one of those children's classics (The Oregon Trail) and Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere, which has been recommended to me by every single person I have ever met. At the library: Paul Sawyer's Hominids, the first book in the Neanderthal Parallax (AU where Neanderthals didn't die out), and Tesseracts 4, a sci-fi short story collection. At my mom's... about 15 kids' books including Bridge to Terabithia, and a couple of Patricia Kennealys. ::happy reader sigh::
